Post-Aesthetics: Towards a Contemporary Theory of the Arabic Musical Aesthetics

Aicha Kallali  |  Creative and Critical Writings  |  2024  |  Tunisia
This book offers a contemporary examination of aesthetic theories of music. As the music industry transforms and global musical tastes evolve, traditional aesthetic theories are no longer sufficient to critique and understand musical works. There is a need to develop a philosophical framework that addresses the dichotomy between what is considered beautiful and what is considered of poor taste in music, establishing an aesthetic reference that reflects the current changes in the musical landscape.
