In Waiting for Geddo, Kawthar, a 30-year-old filmmaker, and her 85-year-old father navigate a relationship fraught with anxiety over their large difference in years, one’s proximity to death and the other to youth. Kawthar is determined to bring a child into the world so that her father can see his grandchild before dying. Overwhelmed by the pressure, Kawthar seeks professional help, discovering that she is bipolar. The film follows her journey toward learning how to manage the condition, while weaving together memories of her father and her attempts at pregnancy.
