“Figures of Accidental Loves” is an artist book that probes, through a selection of texts and images, the paradoxes inherent to the intimate yet elusive affair between political and artistic forms of resistance. It looks at the introduction of perspective (placing the subject at the center of their universe), researches the ‘Holographic Principle’ and imageless forms of perception in artificial intelligence, traces the history of art patronage, and leans on creative commons strategies so as to imagine artistic forms that are not alienated by the conditions that allow for their emergence.
It hopes to gather a set of ecstatic forms of expression that playfully or symbolically engage (and sometimes overturn) institutional or historical constraints.
