As an artist working in media production, Mosab Abushama’s journey has spanned various roles, from capturing evocative moments as a photographer to shaping narratives as an editor, videographer and creative director. His most recent work came in his contribution to Goodbye Julia, a Sudanese-produced and directed film submitted by Sudan for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film in 2024. Working under director Mohamed Kordofani to bring the project to life, Mosab deepened his understanding of filmmaking and his commitment to pushing creative boundaries. The documentation of authentic moments and untold stories to evoke empathy is a central aspect of his creative expression.
