Sameh Alaa is an Egyptian filmmaker. His first short film, Fifteen, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2017 and won several awards on the festival circuit. His latest work, I Am Afraid to Forget Your Face, won the Short Film Palme d'Or at the 2020 Cannes Film Festival.
