The Centre of Art Culture and Folklore contributes to cultural development by organizing art exhibitions — such as the coastal heritage and handicrafts exhibition — as well as cultural seminars, children's theater, and heritage festivals. It participated in film festivals, folk and cultural heritage exhibitions and festivals in Sweden, Yemen, and Egypt.

The center offers courses and stages competitions in oud playing, group singing and Arabic calligraphy. It also stages performances and offers training in children’s theater, puppet shows, modern theater and folk arts. Additionally, it hosts the Samira Abdo Ali animation cinemation competition. It also trains modern theater and folk arts troupes.
