Anise, a 70 year-old woman suffering from Alzheimer and dementia, leads a solitary life. To pass the time, she  spies on her neighbors and tries to reminisce about her role as a mother to a family that ceased to exist. But for Anise’s caregiver, 30-year-old Noura, different thoughts of family are on her mind: how to avoid starting a family of her own.
