Libyan-Algerian Cross-Border Infrastructure is a collaboration between Merath in Tripoli and Rhizome in Algiers that seeks to facilitate contemporary art production and exchange between Libya and Algeria from the starting point of historical narratives of Libyan women smuggling gold to support the Algerian liberation movement. Through this lens, the project aims to explore themes of heritage, finance and gender dynamics. Through research and dialogue, it aspires to create a platform for South-South dialogue and exchange in arts and culture.
