My Grandparents' Window Overlooks a Cemetery is an experimental documentary film that explores death, grief and loss and how we deal with them. It tells stories that have never been told and is about fostering a Syrian collective memory in an effort to understand its history. It is an analogy of three cemeteries: one in Lamis al-Mohamad’s small Syrian village, another a mass grave and the last near the Mediterranean Sea.
