The Black Goat indigenous to Palestine is no ordinary creature. She roams where she pleases and has no regard for the borders of the modern state, its closed military zones, and manicured nature reserves. In the 70s, a brutal Israeli paramilitary group known as the ‘Green Patrol’ drove the Black Goat to near-extinction.
Unearthing never-before-seen archive and surviving testimony, and with the goat as our witness, we bring to light the story of the Bedouins of the Naqab and their ongoing struggles for self-determination.
