Centre Founoun is a private cultural center dedicated to artistic creation, trainings and entertainment. Founoun was established in 2022 by film director Ghassen Gacem and a group of artists and young investors who are interested in culture in Tunisia and in the region. The center operates out of the Ibn Khaldoun cinema hall, which was founded by businessman Hamed Al-Mansi in 1980 with the support of Tunisian cinema pioneer Taher Chriaa against the backdrop of the spread of cinema houses in the region. Ibn Khaldoun closed in 2004 due to mismanagement.
