Orient for Film and Theatre Productions is a production company based in Cairo. Founded in 2007, the company has developed projects that bring together Egyptian, regional and international practitioners. 

One of Orient Productions’ main goals is to lower the threshold for participating in performing arts and to ensure that domestic and regional artists have a spotlight shone on their work. 

To do this, the company has staged workshops and assisted artists in professionalizing their practice, as well as promoted their work on a global scale and built a network of venues and festivals to ensure the long-term sustainability of the independent arts sector.
