Tajarrod Architecture and Art Foundation wants to bring about a radical transformation in Libya’s art and architectural scenes to achieve greater creative freedom and positive social change. To accomplish this end, the foundation sets out to encourage a critical examination of local and global legacies in order to generate new global knowledge, to break down disciplinary barriers, to challenge dominant ideologies through the creation of new critical language and to empower young Libyans by providing them with the resources and opportunities to experiment and develop challenging ideas through artistic practice.
