One Last Look at the Cherry Trees is a collection of stories which deal with touching events and scenes from people’s lives whose days have been clouded with the oppression that the war in Syria left behind, as well as life under tyranny and the psychological effects it has had on how they face their present and recall their past and their memories. This state of affairs applies to those who never left as much as those who have become separated in their host countries, as they carry the war’s burdens with them this scar like a hunchback they are constantly trying to hide.
