With a ticket to Paris in hand, Yanis is ready to depart Algeria and allow night to fall on everything his life has been so far. But before he departs he must attend the funeral of Lounis, a friend from his village. At the funeral he meets Hamid, the only witness to Lounis’ death, and the two men wander about discussing the themes of death that sit at the center of When House is on Fire, Might as Well Get Warm.
