When an injured Peregrine falcon lands on Suleiman's farm in Gaza, he rescues the bird and nurses it back to health. Soon, in the process of mourning, he comes to believe the bird is the reincarnation of his sister. A downhearted and lost teenager, Hisham, becomes obsessed with the bird, and a power struggle begins. Noreen, an ornithologist from Jerusalem, mysteriously arrives to study the migratory patterns of the falcons, and she and Suleiman find in each other a rare kinship. It may be the only thing that can help them find what they're looking for.
