“Rites of Passage” is a theater play about Grace, a teenage midget girl, who lives in a small farm with her grandmother Mathilda, a religious fanatic. She is subjected to popular health treatment methods used by the grandmother, in the hope of becoming like all other girls. Grace has one friend, Baraka, who has Down Syndrome and no family. She coincidentally finds out that her “late” father is alive and residing in Cairo. Grace seeks to find out the truth, thus facing a series of surprises.
