“Colonial Spectrum” is part of a genealogical writing about Khartoum’s colonial outlook. In this part of his long project, the researcher will work on the “Al Jamia Street” in an attempt to carve a deep conceptual and visual formulation, in which the methods of architecture and visual anthropology intersect to reveal Khartoum’s particular architectural composition, and to create a pattern through which the colonial aspect can be reconstructed in a sharper visual outlook.
