“Cultures of Making” is an innovative research project that presents in a visual, graphical and textual form, a number of cultural practices from industries and crafts of the Arab region within their ecological constraints. It in turn presents these as a possible response model to contemporary environmental challenges, by deriving self-solutions that are not imported.

The project draws new boundaries to everything constructed, cultural and natural, through a dialogue between the product and its maker, between the historical and the upcoming, as well as between the local and the international.
