“Theatrical Days of Nouakchott” is a regional theater event that aims at developing the theatrical experience in Mauritania, as well as encouraging exchange and cooperation between young artists working in theater.
Mauritanian theater is among the most neglected art forms, with minimal presence in the national and regional cultural scene, due to society’s negative view of theater and theater artists, and the absence of support.
