A graphic novel related to the writer’s work in the daily press and his rapport to street art (graffiti) and to the plastic arts, as well as the writings on these arts, his musings and his deductions about their development whether on the ground, in public life or on social media. The project elaborates on the extent to which plastic artists, graffiti artists and stencil artists, particularly in Egypt and Lebanon, are bent on using the persona, titles, art and famous lyrics of Oum Kalthoum, and on redirecting them from the classical traditional musical heritage (tarab) to modern and postmodern pop art and murals that accompany social and even political developments.
