After his wife’s death, Khalil - 70 years old – feels his life is totally dictated by routine and, moreover, that it will be ending soon. In an effort to break through the monotony and loneliness of his life, he decides to take a trip to Panama. Preparing his travel arrangements forces Khalil to get involved in his neighbor's lives: "Abdel Aal", a retired photographer diagnosed with cancer; "Azza" an aging former belly-dancer; "Yasser", a Salafist young man with fertility problems; and “Irene” the introvert veterinarian.
