Forgiveness is a feature film about two former resistance fighters, the introverted Fouad from Lebanon and Irene from Ireland. The two meet at an EU-funded workshop in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley that brings together former fighters from the IRA and various Lebanese armed groups to share their stories, and discuss their fears, revenge and forgiveness. On the sidelines, Fuad and Irene bond and start to share their stories, while trying to find inner peace after a violent past.
