The Insomnia of a Serial Dreamer is a journey in time and places. It is also the story of an insomniac filmmaker asking his friends to tell him stories with the hope to get some sleep. Filmed through 18 years, this work comes in line with most of my personal films and my wanderings that have always led me back to Beirut, my Beirut indeed, filled with degenerate violence and, simultaneously, evokes an unexpected tenderness and stands before me: a present in the past tense.
