The novel My Sana’a is a work of historical fiction, which revisits the tumultuous period of the Yemeni civil war during the 1970s, as the crucible that formed many of the rich and sometimes contradictory aspects of the capital city today. The book will seek to correct many of the misconceptions regarding this period of the revolution, drawing on the rich social details and visual vocabulary of Sana’a to tell the story of modern Yemen.
