Palestinian - Jordanian Independent filmmaker Yahya Abdallah was born in Libya in 1978 and raised in Saudi Arabia. He is writer, director, producer and a literary critic with Master’s Degrees in literature and in film from ECAIR Cinema School in Paris. He wrote and directed many shorts; one of which, ‘SMS’ 2008 participated in the 38th international film festival Rotterdam, Tangier ISFF. His first feature, ‘The Last Friday’ 2011 participated in many festivals such as the Fribourg International Film Festival 2012 where he won the special jury award; Berlinale forum 2012; Dubai International Film Festival 2011 where he won three awards (special jury award, best actor, and best music) and won the Cinema in Motion at San Sebastian Film Festival 2011. He is working on his second comedy feature film ‘Me, Myself & Murdoch’.
