Sabine El Chamaa was born and raised in Beirut. Following her undergraduate studies in Communication in Beirut, she pursued graduate studies in Filmmaking at USC Film School in Los Angeles, and at a later stage a doctoral degree in Media and Communication at Goldsmiths, University of London where she questioned the representation of war in Live Media. Sabine's filmography includes 'Promenade', recipient of a Berlin Today Award production grant, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival; 'Un Mardi' winner of first prizes in Dubai film festival, and at the Festival International de Namur (FIFF); 'One day and 124 nights', recipient of a development award at Dubai Film Connection; ‘From a City with no images', recipient of a Doha Film Institute Experimental film grant. Sabine currently resides and works in Beirut.
