Sarah El Miniawy is the founder and director of Simsara Music, a music management and creative production agency known for its intimate infrastructure and keen curatorial ear for progressive new work. Simsara Music has been instrumental in fostering the rise of some of today's most innovative music, including Maryam Saleh, Maurice Louca, and Tamer Abu Ghazaleh's groundbreaking collaboration, Lekhfa. Other notable collaborations include Nadah El Shazly's debut record Ahwar and most recently Nancy Mounir's critically acclaimed Nozhet El Nofous.
A testament to the agency's unwavering commitment to the region's music landscape, Simsara launched Tarkeeza in 2021. The platform, which Sarah was instrumental in putting forward, serves as a catalyst for the development of music management skills and the empowerment of DIY artists and emerging music managers.
Sarah's journey began with eight years at London's Barbican Centre, where she honed her approach to public and media relations. She also pursued an MA in ethnomusicology at the School of Oriental and African Studies, which provided her with a solid foundation for a career dedicated to supporting quality artistic production on a global stage.
