Ala Eddine Slim lives and works in Tunis. He is the founder of Exit Productions, one of the first independent film production companies in Tunisia. He has produced and directed several films, including Babylon (2012), which took home the Grand Prix FIDMarseille, The Last of Us (2016), the Lion of the Future at the 2016 Venice Film Festival, and Tlamess (2019), shown at the Directors' Fortnight at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival. He is currently completing his new film Agora, which is planned for release in 2024.
