A Jordanian professor, photographer, painter and poet. Born in 1954, he studied at the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees and went to their Teacher Training College before acquiring a position as a teacher in Saudi Arabia. He worked as a journalist for just under 20 years and is considered one of the most influential and widely read contemporary Arab authors. His works are acclaimed by general readers and critics alike. Nasrallah has published several volumes of poetry, novels, children's books, as well as monographs nonfiction publications about literature and poetry in the Arab world. He has won several prizes and has been regularly long-listed and short-listed for the Arabic Prize for Arabic Literature. His works has been translated to many languages.
