The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture – AFAC has launched the call for applications to the Performing Arts grants program, from March 1 to May 14, 2021.
The pandemic and its resulting enforced confinement during the past year has impacted the arts and culture scene overall, and more particularly the practitioners in the performing arts scene, the essence of which, centered on live interaction with an audience, could not easily be replaced in the virtual realm. AFAC’s grants programs strive this year to stand by theater makers, dancers, performers and other practitioners, supporting their projects and sustaining their ability to create so that they are ready to perform and tour once the situation allows. While remaining open to all performing arts practices, themes and approaches, the AFAC grants also seek to support collaborative projects as well as projects inspired by a critical reflection/observation of the confinement.
Applications are to be submitted exclusively online, via the AFAC website. To apply, please log-in with your username and password. Once you log in you will be directed to the application. If you do not have an existing account, you can register here.
Please consult the updated Grants Guidelines, the Evaluation Process, and FAQs before applying.
