Hiba Ismail works with objects, sound, and video to produce compositions that explore/catalog/archive would-be artifacts and objects/subjects of natural history as an exercise in subversion, interrogating the process of knowledge constitution. She aims to observe the degrees of intimacy between people and the geographies we inhabit and how our bodies meet these geographies as bodies in themselves and how this choreographs the objects that besiege us.
