Ain is a non-profit organisation formed in January 2008 in Damascus and registered in Paris. AIN aims to support contemporary art with a focus on Syrian art and curates regularly plurisdisciplinary art events such as Paysage interne (exhibition and talk, Centre des arts actuels-Skol, Montreal, 2017); In the heart of the heart of another country (screenings, panels and exhibitions, Greek film archives, Athens; Museum of Photography, Thessaloniki;  Mansion and Dawawine, Beirut, 2016); L'Art en Marche (exhibition, screenings, panels and music performance, Le Rocher de Palmer and Utopia Cinema, Bordeaux, 2015); Et Pourtant ils créent (exhibition, screenings, video installations and performances, Institute of Islamic Culture, Paris, 2014); Visual Arts Festival (ZKM, Karlsruhe; DEPO, Istanbul; International Film Festival Rotterdam; Damascus, 2010-14); Syrian Anonymous Exhibition (Exfila, Florence; Museo du Palazzo Poggi, Bologna; La Fabbrica del Vapore, Milano; Cantieri d’Arte, Viterbo; New Art Exchange, Nottingham, 2012-13); Syrian Icon (3rd Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary art, Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art, 2011). It also publishes "Syrie, l’art en armes" (edition La Martiniere, 2013).
