Ruba Alfaraouna was born in 1995 in Shaqib al-Salam, a Bedouin village near Beersheba. She is a photographer and multimedia artist and studied photography at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, where she developed a practice rooted in research and experimentation via installation methods. Ruba is also interested in exploring her Bedouin heritage, seeking to redefine and reframe its culture and history through art.
