Ahmed Alaqra is a multidisciplinary artist, curator and researcher whose work explores the aesthetics of power embedded within social and political structures. In his work, Ahmed seeks to look at the foundations, and dynamics that give rise to these aesthetic phenomena. Ahmed has curated and participated in exhibitions in Ramallah, Amman, Helsinki, London and Paris. Most recently, he co-curated the exhibition Salt-Kissed: Of Vessels That Have Sailed The Red Sea for Hayy Jameel in Jeddah, and he is currently working with the Palestinian Museum as the curator of their upcoming exhibition on music in Palestine. He is also a co-founder of the FANA' Collective, an experimental and discursive platform.
