Yasmin Karajah is a Jordanian-Palestinian screenwriter and director. Her short films have screened at the Toronto International Film (TIFF), AFI Fest, Dubai International Film Festival, and Melbourne International Film Festival. Her film Rupture (2018) premiered at TIFF, was featured in MoMA's New Directors/New Films, and won the Grand Jury prize at Slamdance, where she was awarded the Russo Brother's Fellowship. She also co-wrote the upcoming Front Row-produced feature Sandcastle, starring Nadine Labaki, Ziad Bakri, and Zain and Riman al-Rafeea. Karajah holds an LL.B from the University of Bristol Law School, a degree in Film Production from the University of British Columbia, and is a graduate of the Canadian Film Center's Director's Lab.
