INTERFERENCE is an organization that originated from a civil society initiative focused on hosting art in public spaces. It believes that a democratic society requires opportunities to engage with art — where people can see, feel, question, learn, and participate in critical discussions and debates. Art experience, mediation, review, curating, and artistic production are integral to the organization’s mission. Over the past three years, INTERFERENCE has supported 27 young artists, 11 of whom have showcased their work in other exhibitions. The organization has also trained 10 young curators, 151 art mediators, and 50 producers, all of whom contributed to the creation of 136 artworks. Many of these individuals continue to work in the cultural sector with various organizations, both within Tunisia and internationally.
