Raed Jazbeh

Raed Jazbeh, born in Aleppo, has studied classical music since he was a child. After finishing high school, he traveled to Damascus to continue his studies at the Higher Institute of Music. Alongside his interest in music, he also studied oil painting and established his own academy for music and arts. In 2013, he moved to Germany, where, in 2015, he established the Syrian Expat Philharmonic Orchestra (SEPO), a symphony orchestra that brings together professional Syrian musicians who live in Germany, EU and the diaspora. In 2021, SEPO member Suad Bushnaq won the Exceptional Orchestral Performance for her piece “Tomorrow” at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards.
