Mahmoud Massad

Mahmoud Massad is a Jordanian director, screenwriter and producer. He has received acclaim for his feature documentaries Shatter Hassan (2001), Recycle (2007) and This Is My Picture When I Was Dead (2010). Recycle won the World Best Cinematography Award at Sundance in 2008, was screened at over 130 international film festivals, and had theatrical releases in several European countries. Mahmoud won three international awards for the script of his narrative feature Blessed Benefit. The film premiered in 2016 at the Toronto International Film Festival, l, where it won the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) Jury Award for Best Asian Film and the Warsaw Film Festival’s Special Jury Award for Best Acting.
