Marwah Jbara Tibi is Palestinian filmmaker and journalist from Taybeh. She holds an MFA in documentary filmmaking and has worked in production with major media outlets, such as CNN and CTV. Tibi’s work offers leading roles for women and aims to capture poetic, human scenes with a focus on the aesthetics of place. She founded Zainab Productions, and many of her works have been produced by Al Jazeera Documentary, earning both Arab and international awards. Her investigative films, including Battle Proven (2017) and Cybersecurity, have garnered international acclaim. Her film Bread and Butter  (2021) won the Silver Award at the Riyadh Festival. Photographers of Palestine won the Bronze Award at the Jordan Festival for Arab Media. The Bride Dress (2022) received the award for creative direction at the Arab Radio and TV Festival by the Arab States Broadcasting Union. And Abbas 36 (2019) was named Best Documentary at the Toronto International Women Festival and nominated for the Sunbird Award at the Palestine Cinema Days festival.
