Pary El-Qalqili is a Palestinian writer and director based in Berlin. Her first feature film The Turtle’s Rage (2012) won awards from various international film festivals in Germany, Italy, Morocco, Qatar, Dubai and Switzerland. Her short film Neighbours (2018) was nominated for the German Critics Award. Pary also teaches feminist and decolonial film history and theory at several universities, and, as a curator, she is building up, along with a collective of other Palestinian women, the first archive of Palestinian history in Germany.
