Mowafi Yousif, a Sudanese writer, graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Sudan University of Science and Technology. He has published literary articles and short stories in cultural sections of various Sudanese newspapers. He is a member and editor at the Geel Gadeed Cultural Foundation in Sudan, the secretary-general of the Wad Madani Cultural Club, and a member of the Sudanese Writers Union. Yousif won the Al Tayeb Salih Award for Youth in Short Story in 2017 and the Nirvana Stories Award for Short Story in 2019. His published works include the biographical novel Seven Hours in the Company of the River (2017) and a poetry collection The Book of Fragments (2018).
