Hana Gamal is an Egyptian photographer and visual artist. Born and raised in Cairo, she graduated from the American University in Cairo with a dual degree in mass communication, media arts and psychology. In 2021, she completed an advanced photography program in photojournalism at the Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX) in Aarhus.

Hana’s work with photography began in 2011, with the Egyptian revolution. The medium has since become her voice and greatest passion in life

Hana's visual approach is anthropological and psychological. Being deeply sensitive, emotional and passionate about psychology, poetry and visual arts, her work ventures into the chaotic, complex and poetic inner world of the human soul, trying to bring the inner world of meaning and the outer world of appearances into accord.
