Jaras is a group of activists working in culture, tourism and the civil sector who aim to advance the cultural and social situation in Sebastia in accordance with its history and political features. The group is unique for the diversity of its members, academically and professionally. Each member brings different experience in civil work to the group from their volunteer initiatives. One of Jaras’ most significant works is the Basilica project it carried out in Sebastia, which it plans to continue working on through the Bayader project.
