Ahmad Kaabour was born in Beirut in 1955. He has a postgraduate diploma in theater from the Institute of Fine Arts at the Lebanese University. His body of compositional and singing work includes I Call to You (1975), Love (1983), Eid Songs (1985), We are the People (1986), Their Voices are Loud (2003), I Want to Sing to the People (2009), Ahmad Kaabour Sings Omar az-Zaani (2017), and more than 100 children’s songs, most of which are on his Youtube channel. He has also worked in cinema and television, where his work includes the films The Refuge by Rafik Hajjar (score), Beirut O Beirut by Maroun Baghdady (acting), Nagui al-Ula by Atef al-Tayyib (acting), the TV shows Regret by Rafik Hajjar (actor), Looking for Saladin by Najdat Anzour (songs and score), Mutanabi by Faisal Az-Zoobi (songs and score), and a series of songs For your eyes for a television station (writing, composition and supervision). He has also worked in theater on the shows Abjadhoz (directing), The Open Night (score).
