Montasser Drissi is an artist, graphic designer, and type designer. He is interested in the design of multiscript typefaces (fonts that support several writing systems) and in the way the power relations between dominant and minority languages are deployed in the field of typography in Arabic-speaking countries. He is a member of the editorial board of Qalqalah.
