Youness Loukili is a professor of sociology at Mohammed V University in Rabat. He is interested in the sociology of Islam and modes of cultural expression in the Moroccan city. He is the head of the Preparedness Center for Studies and Research and a contributing member of the Arab Council for Social Sciences. He has written and published a number of books including: The Anthropology of French (2018), The Anthropology of Healing (2021), The Anthropology of Islamic societies (2022) and Hat and Mask: On the Sociology of the COVID-19 Quarantine in Morocco” (2023). He has a forthcoming story collection titled Borges and her... And myself too, perhaps (2024).
