Mohamed al-Daradji, born in Baghdad in 1978, studied film and television at the Media Academie in Hilversum, Netherlands, before earning two master's degrees in cinematography and directing from the Northern Film School in Leeds in the United Kingdom. He co-founded Human Film, an award-winning feature film production company with bases in the UK and the Netherlands. In addition to his filmmaking career, Mohamed established the Iraqi Independent Film Center to support both seasoned and emerging filmmakers in Iraq. His filmography includes Last Kings in Iraq (2021), The Journey (2017), and the feature-length fiction film Baghdad Station (2017).
