Lebanese filmmaker Hussen Ibraheem, an architect-turned-director, integrates his architectural background into film to explore themes of life, death, and family dynamics. Currently, he is writing and directing his debut feature, selected in programs such as Meditalents, Mediterranean Film Institute, Cairo Producers Network, Rawi, Meetings on the Bridge, and the Thessaloniki Film Festival’s Co-production Forum. His projects have received support from the Netflix Equity Fund, the Île-de-France Grant, the PACA development fund, Doha Film Institute, the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture, and others. An alumnus of Berlinale Talent - Beirut, Qumra, Sundance script development with Rawi, ZFF Academy, Camerimage, and other programs, Hussein is now studying international production at the Filmakademie BW to enrich his filmmaking with a perspective shaped by directing, writing, and architecture.
