Nicolas Fattouh

Nicolas is a Lebanese visual artist and performance and animation director. His debut film How My Grandmother Became a Chair won The Film Prize of the Robert Bosch Stiftung at the Berlinale in 2018. Following its premiere at the 60th Krakow Film Festival, the film has been shown at over 100 festivals worldwide. Currently, Nicolas is working on films, exhibitions and performances both in Lebanon and internationally. In 2023, he founded Beirut Animation Nights in partnership with Royal Cinema to showcase animated short films from around the globe. His debut performance Living with a Piece of Furniture was selected for the Zürcher Theater Spektakel in August 2024.
